In the wake of recent targeted killing in Jammu and Kashmir, the union home ministry has ordered deployment of five more Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) companies, with around 100 personnels each, in the valley.

"The CRPF will deploy five additional companies in J&K within a week. The force had earlier sent 25 companies to the union territory" said a senior official. The announcement came a day after Ibrahim Khan, a salesman employed with Roshan Lal Mawa, was killed in the old area of the J&K capital.

On Sunday, constable Tawseef Ahmad Wani was killed in Srinagar's Batamaloo area.
