BSF jawan video: dieticians to check food quality served to jawans

Guwahati: Union minister of state of Home affairs, Kiren Rijiju said that government has deployed dietitians to all border outpost of Border security force ( BSF) following allegation of substandard quality of food being served to jawans.

A constable, Tej Bahadur Yadav in Facebook videos has complained about the quality and quantity of food supplied to jawans posted along the border and corruption by senior officers.

This has created flutters with Union Home ministry seeking report on the videos.

Rijiju who was in Guwahati on Wednesday said, "We have ordered an inquiry. The inquiry is being carried out by the officers in the rank of brigadier and Inspector General of police. We have received the interim report. However we will not like to say anything now as the final report is yet to come."

Asking everyone to exercise restrains as it involves the security force of the country the minister said,"We appeal to all including media to wait as the videos are yet to be ascertained and verified."

Rijiju added, "We have sent expert dietitians to every border outposts to check the quality of food and give the government a report."
