ATTARI: Border Security Force here today apprehended two Nigerian nationals who "intended" to cross over to Pakistan through border village of Rorawali here.

BSF officials said two Nigerian nationals - Saini Jamilu (22) and Imran Kabir (21) - arrived here yesterday by a taxi from Delhi and stayed overnight in a parking area near the Golden Temple.

They took away the key of the taxi from the pocket of the asleep driver and drove to Attari/Wagah border in order to cross over to Pakistan, where they were told by Immigration and Custom officials to come around 9.00 am, BSF said.

They then drove the stolen taxi to border village Rorawali and reached near the barbed fencing at international border where they were apprehended by the patrolling party of BSF.

During preliminary interrogation, it was found that Jamilu was having passport and other related documents but his friend Kabir was carrying the photo copy of his passport and FIR lodged at Delhi regarding his lost passport, the officials said.

No one could be allowed to cross over to Pakistan on the basis of photocopy with FIR of lost passport, officials said.
