Big "Supersonic" Bang: IAF's Exercise Vayu Shakti 2024 set to impress

The Indian Air Force (IAF) is gearing up for a spectacular display of its capabilities with Exercise Vayu Shakti-24, scheduled for 17th February 2024 at the Pokhran Air to Ground Range near Jaisalmer. This exercise, the 24th edition of its kind, promises to be a riveting showcase of the IAF's offensive and defensive prowess, highlighting its joint operational capabilities with the Indian Army.

Precision and Power in Action

The exercise will feature a wide array of aircraft, including indigenous ones like Tejas, Prachand, and Dhruv, alongside internationally acclaimed jets like Rafale, Mirage-2000, and Sukhoi-30 MKI. The lineup also includes Jaguar, Hawk, C-130J, Chinook, Apache, and Mi-17, demonstrating the IAF's diverse capabilities.



Showcasing Indigenous Strength

One of the highlights of this year's exercise will be the demonstration of indigenous Surface to Air Weapon systems Akash and Samar. These systems will showcase their ability to track and shoot down intruding aircraft, underlining India's growing self-reliance in defense technology.

Operational Excellence and Joint Operations

Exercise Vayu Shakti-24 will not only exhibit the IAF's precision and long-range weapon delivery capabilities but also its proficiency in conducting operations from multiple air bases.
