Beijing to hold raid drill to improve air attack abilities
BEIJING: An air raid drill will be conducted this week here in the Chinese capital to improve abilities to handle any possible air attacks.

Sirens will be heard in ten suburban districts and counties on September 19, including Fangshan, Tongzhou, Daxing districts and others, the Beijing civil defence bureau said.

They informed the public to be prepared and not to panic when the sirens sound.

In addition to issuing warnings to the public, the drills will include evacuation, shelter and protection of important facilities.

Last year, the drill was held in the suburban Mentougou, Fangshan and Yanqing districts.
