AVPL International to set up a drone manufacturing facility in Bihar

Gurgaon based AVPL International, a drone technology and skill development provider, said it is planning to set up a drone manufacturing hub in Bihar. It plans to hire 200 employees for the facility.

The hub, to be built with an investment of Rs 15 crore, will be spread over 16,000 square feet and will produce up to 24,000 drones annually, the company told ET.

It said the hub will generate employment opportunities for about 10,000 youths, including 200 in-house employees.


The initiative is supported by the Bihar Industrial Area Development Authority, with an aim to boost local manufacturing.

The drones will cater to a diverse range of sectors, including agriculture.

“This project is more than just a manufacturing facility; it’s a step towards empowering local communities, capacity building and fostering drone entrepreneurship,” said Preet Sandhuu, founder and managing director, AVPL International.
