Army to get new combat uniform for better camouflage

The new combat fatigue will be lighter and more climate friendly and suitable for the terrain in which the forces operate.

The new combat fatigue is designed to be more durable and provide better camouflage, an officer told TOI adding that a new regular uniform is also in the works.
The Army will showcase its new combat fatigues with digital-disruptive pattern on Army Day Parade on January 15, Times of India reported.

The new combat fatigue will be lighter and more climate friendly and suitable for the terrain in which the forces operate.

The new combat fatigue is designed to be more durable and provide better camouflage, an officer told TOI adding that a new regular uniform is also in the works.


The Navy had replaced its half sleeved light blue shirt and navy blue trousers with a digital camouflage uniform last year.

Speaking to TOI, and officer said that the new combat uniform has been designed after consultations with NIFT and examining uniforms of other militaries.
