Army releases pictures of most dreaded terrorists in Kashmir

NEW DELHI: The army today released a list of the 12 most dreaded terrorists in Kashmir. Security forces are searching for these terrorists, army sources say. This development comes three days after security forces dealt a severe blow to the terror group, Hizbul Mujahideen, by gunning down its commander, Sabzar Ahmed Bhat in south Kashmir’s Tral area on Saturday.

Among the most prominent names in the list are Reyaz Naikoo alias Zubair and Zakir Rashid Bhat alias Musa. Naikoo is a resident of Tokun, Awantipore, and is likely to be the next Hizbul Mujahideen commander in Kashmir after the death of Sabzar. He is known to be tech savvy and active on social media like his predecessor, Burhan Wani. On the other hand, Musa, was Wani’s successor after the latter’s killing by security forces on July 8 last year. Earlier this month, Musa had released a video in which he threatened to behead the separatists if they created hurdles in establishing Sharia in Kashmir. For this the Hizbul Mujahideen snubbed Musa, who later announced to part ways with the group.
