Army CSD liquor smuggling racket busted in Assam
Guwahati: On 17 April 2026 at general area near Misamari railway station, a massive consignment of liquor of around 150 Cases originally intended for sale through CSD outlets catering to Army personnel, was seized during an attempted smuggling operation at the Canteen Stores Depot in Missamari.

Sources said that the joint operation, carried out by "Assam Police", the Tezpur-based "Gajraj Intelligence Unit", and "local Army authorities", exposed a well-coordinated effort to divert restricted supplies into unauthorized channels.

Acting on precise intelligence, the team intercepted the consignment while being moved out of the depot premises. The seizure highlights ongoing vigilance and strong inter-agency coordination to curb illegal activities and safeguard the integrity of military supply chains. FIR in this regard has been done at Misamari Police Station.
