US Weapons Iran Israel war
In a rare public update, the United States Central Command (CENTCOM) on Tuesday shared details of the first 10 days of Operation Epic Fury, the US-Israel military campaign that has sharply escalated tensions with Iran. According to the command, American forces have already struck more than 5,000 targets across Iran and damaged or destroyed over 50 Iranian vessels since the operation began on February 28.

The US military said the large-scale strikes aim to dismantle parts of Iran’s military structure that Washington considers an immediate threat. The campaign involves long-range bombers, stealth fighters, drones, missile defence systems and naval assets operating together in what appears to be one of the largest coordinated operations in recent years.

“CENTCOM launched Operation Epic Fury under the direction of the President of the United States. Its forces are targeting sites to dismantle Iran’s security apparatus, focusing on locations that present an imminent threat,” the command said on its X account.

Operation began before dawn

CENTCOM said the operation began at 1:15 am on February 28, though it did not specify the time zone in its summary.

Since then, American forces have conducted a wide set of coordinated strikes across multiple locations. The military command did not provide specific details about the locations of the strikes but confirmed that the attacks targeted key elements of Iran’s military infrastructure.

Massive air and naval firepower deployed

To carry out the operation, the United States deployed a wide range of military platforms across air, sea and land domains. The list released by CENTCOM shows the scale of the campaign.

CENTCOM also confirmed that headquarters buildings and intelligence sites linked to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps were among the targets.

The update offers one of the first official snapshots of how the campaign has unfolded since it began, though the US military has not disclosed the exact locations of the strikes or the full extent of the damage on the ground.
