2 Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh suspects arrested in Bengal over terror activities

The two have been identified as Ajmol Hossain (28), a resident of Nalhati Police Station area and Saheb Ali Khan (28) from Murarai under Murarai Police Station in Birbhum district. The arrests were made during simultaneous raids conducted on the intervening night of May 8 and 9, people in the know said.
According to the STF, both suspects were actively propagating the ideology of JMB, a proscribed terror outfit in India. The duo, along with some other associates, also tried to procure firearms and were in the process of preparing explosives "to propagate and practice" the ideology of 'Ghazwatul Hind'.
"The arrested persons are part of a module that is engaged in dissemination of seditious and jihadi materials by using encrypted sophisticated mediums and also planning to target certain persons and places," the STF said.
