The surrendered weapons include SLR 29, Carbine, AK, INSAS Rifle, INSAS LMG, .303 Rifle, 9mm pistol, .32 pistol, M16 rifle, smoke gun and tear gas, local-made pistol, stan gun, modified rifle, JVP and a grenade launcher, the police said.

Officials said that as on Friday morning, 37,450 people are staying in 272 relief camps, including community halls.
APLA cadres LAY DOWN ARMS
In Assam, 39 active cadres of the Adivasi People's Liberation Army (APLA) laid down a total of 31 weapons including three AK series Rifles, 19 pistols, five other rifles, two grenades and assorted live ammunition and have chosen the path of peace and prosperity under Operation Samarpan. Assam Rifles complimented the youth for their decision.
