13 RPF personnel awarded on occasion of Independence Day

NEW DELHI: An RPF adjutant, Shaik Imtiaz Ahmed, has been awarded the President's Police Medal for Distinguished Service on the occasion of Independence Day.

Besides Ahmed, who is with the 7th Battalion of Railway Protection Special Force, 12 other Railway Protection Force personnel have been awarded the Police Medal for Meritorious Service.

According to a release, the remaining 12 RPF awardees are ASC Anil Kumar Nair, ASC Sivasankaran, DIG PC Sinha, DIG Tarique Ahmed, DIG Aroma Singh Thakur, SI K Chandrasekhara Reddy, Head Constable Naren Saikia, ASI RK Saravanan, Inspector Anil Rai, ASI Ashok Kumar Mishra, Inspector N Ravi Kumar and Inspector Vinay Maharaj.
