DAN acquires PR firm Perfect Relations

NEW DELHI: Dentsu Aegis Network ( DAN) has acquired Perfect Relations, an independent public relations firm founded by Dilip Cherian and Pradeep (Bobby) Kewalramani. While the financial terms weren’t disclosed, industry estimates say it could be anywhere between Rs 250 crore and Rs 400 crore depending upon the performance of the firm.

Cherian and Kewalramani will join the leadership team of Dentsu Aegis and report to Ashish Bhasin, chairman of Dentsu Aegis Network South Asia. Post-acquisition, Perfect Relations will retain its brand identity and work alongside other specialist units of DAN.

This will be the first significant public relations offering from Dentsu Aegis in India. The advertising network’s experiential agency, psLIVE, had a division for public relations. However, it was merged with Fountainhead Entertainment after DAN acquired Fountainhead in 2016.

“The PR segment in India is forecast to grow at double digits annually and having a scaled business that is well integrated to our company enables us to build on our overall strength and reputation in the market,” Nick Waters, CEO of Dentsu Aegis Network Asia Pacific, said. Perfect Relations works with several brands including Coca-Cola, Nokia and Airtel. It has been recently appointed by Delhi government for image management.
