Yes Bank chief Rana Kapoor awarded 'Business Innovator Award'

DUBAI: Rana Kapoor, CEO of Yes Bsnk, has been awarded with the ' Business Innovator Award' by the Asian Business Leadership Forum (ABLF) here for building India's 4th largest private sector bank in a short span of time.

"I am a strong believer in the power of creative entrepreneurship and design driven innovation to establish a successful business organization. YES BANK's success in the last 10 years is owing to the significant emphasis on the critical pillars of innovation and technology," Kapoor said.

The award, given as a part of the Asia Business Leadership Weekend here from December 13-14, was presented to him by Sultan Saeed Al Mansouri, Minister of Economy, the United Arab Emirates.

"The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region, in particular the UAE is an important global economic hub with long standing trade and cultural ties with India. Yes Bank has also recently announced its first global footprint in Abu Dhabi with the launch of an international representative office to enhance engagement with leading businesses and Indians in this region," a statement by the forum said.

The award felicitated 12 outstanding Asian government dignitaries, industrialists, economists, policymakers and young entrepreneurs.

GCC is a regional intergovernmental political and economic union. Its six member states are Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
