World's first conference on Business Process Knowledge in November

Business Process Council to organise world conference on cross-country mergers and acquisitions in November.

MUMBAI: With an aim to promote best practices in integration of cross country mergers and acquisitions, Business Process Council (BPC) is organising world’s first conference on Business Process Knowledge in November.

The 2007 BPC World Conference with the theme 'Driving excellence through best practices' will be held from November 30 to December 1 at the Leela Kempinski, Mumbai.

"The conference will draw professionals in Operations Management and Logistics from India and all over the world," Chairman-IT Committee, Maharashtra Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture, Yusuf Lanewala told reporters.

The conference will be held in association with various world organisations in the field of operations management.

These include the association for operations management (APICS), American Society of Transportation and Logistics (AST&L), Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCM), Supply-Chain Council (of SCOR model fame), India's National Institute of Industrial Engineering (NITIE) and the Maharashtra Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (MACCIA).

Introducing BPC, Ravindra Tulsyan Chairman and Chief Mentor, Knowerx Education (India) Pvt Ltd, said "the Business Process Council is a non-profit organisation formed by professionals from all walks of industry to promote the adoption of best practices in processes in the industry."
