Western Union appoints Sohini Rajola as new Vice-President for South Asia

Prior to Western Union, Rajola was the Senior Vice President and Head - Digital Banking, at Axis Bank where she was responsible for designing and leading the digital strategy of the bank.

Western Union appoints Sohini Rajola as new Vice-President for South Asia
MUMBAI: International remittance company Western Union appointed Sohini Rajola as Regional Vice President, India and South Asia. Rajola will be responsible for managing and developing the Western Union business across India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bangladesh, Maldives and Bhutan.

“India is the world’s largest remittance recipient country and is key to Western Union’s growth strategy. With Rajola’s appointment as the business leader for India and South Asia, we will further strengthen Western Union’s multi-channel payment services offering, enabling greater consumer choice and wider financial inclusion,” said Jean Claude Farah, president, MEA, APAC, Eastern Europe & CIS, Western Union.

Prior to Western Union, Rajola was the Senior Vice President and Head - Digital Banking, at Axis Bank where she was responsible for designing and leading the digital strategy of the bank. Previously she was the bank’s Head of Cards and Merchant Acquiring where she managed several partnerships and was responsible for the launch of a wide portfolio of electronic card products.
