Waterfield Advisors appoints Nimish Shah as CIO

MUMBAI: Mumbai-based Waterfield Advisors, a wealth advisory firm, appointed finance industry veteran Nimish Shah as chief investment officer.

Nimish joined Waterfield from BNP Paribas Wealth Management where he was head of investment services.

“It will be the endeavour of Waterfield’s investment team to continue the focus on research to analyse and advice investment opportunities based on quantitative, qualitative and governance parameters,” said Shah.


An MBA in finance from Mumbai University and a certified wealth manager, Shah has 25 years of experience in capital markets across diverse asset classes.

He will now head services including investment policies, asset allocations, selection and portfolio construction.

“His experience adds significant value to the firm at a time when markets remain volatile, and we have to help our clients navigate through a more uncertain economic outlook,” Soumya Rajan, founder and CEO, Waterfield Advisors said in a release.

Established in 2011, Waterfield advises on over $3.5 Billion of assets on behalf of more than 60 prominent Indian business families whom it serves from its five offices in India.

Nimish has handled a wide spectrum of clients including family offices and trusts, wealthy individuals, banks, funds, corporate treasuries.
