Vodafone ties up with Google Cloud; brings G Suite to Indian enterprises
NEW DELHI: Vodafone India’s enterprise arm, Vodafone Business Services (VBS) has joined hands with Google Cloud to offer G Suite, a set of productivity and collaboration apps like Gmail, Docs, Drive, Calendar, and Hangouts, on a pay-as-you-go Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model to corporate customers. The new tie-up follows a partnership with technology major Microsoft for enterprise-grade productivity and collaboration services.

VSB is offering its corporate customers a choice of monthly, quarterly, half-yearly or annual payments which can be made online or by cheque. It is also providing multi-channel support for onboarding, migration and in-life queries.

Under the strategic tie-up, SMBs and large enterprises will get dedicated account and relationship management support. With VBS’ ‘work standard’ plan of Rs 150 per month, customers will get business class email, HD video conferencing, cloud storage and Google’s productivity apps.

Under the ‘work unlimited’ plan of Rs 650, customers will get all the features of apps for work with unlimited Cloud storage and backup, compliance, discovery, policy management and other admin features.

“We are delighted to work with Google to help Indian enterprises benefit from substantial productivity gains through the adoption of G Suite using Vodafone. Vodafone is widely acknowledged as an enterprise mobility leader. With our cloud delivery model, we are now well positioned as a total communications partner to Indian enterprises embarking on their digital journeys,” Nick Gliddon, Director, Vodafone Business Services, said in a statement issued on Thursday.

Vodafone competes with the likes of Bharti Airtel, BSNL, Reliance Communications and Tata Teleservices in the enterprise space. These telcos offer managed services for enterprises, storage solutions, and custom services for small businesses to strengthen new revenue streams.

Vodafone earlier this week had said that VBS is growing at double the industry growth year-on-year, led by strong growth in fixed line and in SME business. The enterprise arm is also making strong foray into Internet of Things (IoT) solutions and investing in Cloud Infrastructure.

The telco also said that VBS is actively engaged with Public Sector Enterprises and State Governments contributing to the vision of Digital India and setting up of smart cities.

With more than 7.5 million mobility corporate customers, VBS is providing services to global and national businesses equipped with a robust network infrastructure and a 24x7 NOC.
