Vivek Sood quits Telenor

Sood served as CEO of Telenor India from January 2015 till November 2015 after which he was elevated to the position of Executive VP of Telenor group.

NEW DELHI: Executive Vice-President and Chief Marketing Officer of Telenor Group Vivek Sood has resigned to pursue career outside the Norwegian telecom firm.

"Vivek Sood has resigned as Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of Telenor Group with effect from 23 December 2016. Sood has accepted a position outside of Telenor," Telenor said in a regulatory filing.

Sood served as CEO of Telenor India from January 2015 till November 2015 after which he was elevated to the position of Executive VP of Telenor group.


He joined Uninor in India, majority owned by Telenor, as Executive Vice President Finance in January 2011.

"Gunnar Sellaeg has been appointed interim Group Chief Marketing Officer. Sellaeg comes from the position as Senior Vice President and Chief Product & Innovation Officer for Telenor Group," Telenor said.
