Xiaomi India's chief business officer, Raghu Reddy has stepped down to pursue new opportunities. He was handling offline and online sales for the company along with looking after various product categories for the company.

Reddy spent was elevated as the chief business officer at the company in 2020 after spending six years at the company in various roles.

Xiaomi India has confirmed the development adding that Reddy played a crucial role in bolstering Xiaomi on top of the smartphone market.


Reddy started his career at Wipro technologies as a software engineer, before moving to Earnst and Young as a senior consultant, followed by Snapdeal as a senior director.

His departure comes at a time when Xiaomi India's financials have been under scrutiny by government agencies. The enforcement directorate passed a seizure order for its bank assets of over Rs 5,500 crore in April. The company has denied any wrongdoing and has approached the Karnataka High court for relief. The judgement on the case has been reserved.
