Case Study 2 – Friendly Bias?

Anil is facing a unique issue at work. His boss is friends with an employee with the same job rank as Anil. They have lunch together every day. Since they are good friends, they meet outside the workplace too. This employee is privy to private management conversations, meetings and has access to information that other similar ranked employees don't. Anil and other colleagues feel that this friendship gives an unfair advantage to the employee. Anil says he cannot trust his boss because of this friendship. What should he do? And why.

Option A - Ignore the issue.
