Taurus MF appoints Mohit Mirchandani as head of equity

MUMBAI: Taurus Mutual Fund has appointed Mohit Mirchandani as head of equity on Monday. Mirchandani joins Taurus from ING Investment Management.

At ING, he was responsible for developing business and managing portfolios in his capacity as VP and portfolio manager ��� equity, for more than six years.

His first three years with ING were spent in the US where he was promoted from analyst to co portfolio manager. Prior to ING he worked with the coca cola company in USA as a research analyst - corporate investments.

Commenting on his appointment, Waqar Naqvi, CEO, Taurus Mutual Fund said "Mohit understands the nuances of businesses in developed and emerging markets. This would enable us to add more rigour to our investment decisions and hence serve investors better".

An MBA from Emory University Finance and Strategy, Mohit also holds a Master of Management Studies from Mumbai University.
