NVIDIA also announced its partnership with India's Reliance on Friday.
In a step towards advancing India's AI ambition, NVIDIA announced its partnership with Tata Group on Friday. The two groups will work to develop an AI cloud in India aimed at providing critical infrastructure that enables computing’s next lifecycle. Further, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) will be utilizing the AI infrastructure and capabilities to build and process generative AI applications, while also upskilling 6,00,000 TCS employees.

In a statement, Tata Sons Chairman, N Chandrasekaran said that this collaboration with US' tech company will only bolster and make it easy to access the Artificial Intelligence (AI) infrastructure.

"Our partnership with NVIDIA will democratize access to AI infrastructure, accelerate build-out of AI solutions and enable upgradation of AI talent at scale," said Chandrasekaran.


Tata Group’s presence across sectors with NVIDIA aboard offers numerous opportunities for collaboration to advance India’s AI ambition, he added.

NVIDIA in its association with salt-to-software conglomerate, Tata will deliver AI computing infrastructure and platforms for developing AI solutions. The said collaboration is aimed to bring to the table AI capabilities within reach to a number of organizations, businesses and AI researchers, and hundreds of startups in India, NVIDIA announced.

The Tata chief also pointed out the critical role AI will play across industries and the lives of the people, adding that it is a key transformational trend of the decade and every company must prepare to make this AI transition.

Earlier on Friday, Reliance and Nvidia said on Friday they have formed a partnership to create AI language models and generative apps for millions of telecom users of the Indian company.

Nvidia will assist Reliance in building AI infrastructure by providing access to its superchip and cloud services. Reliance aims to leverage Nvidia's AI infrastructure to develop AI applications and services

ET reported that CEO and co-founder of the $27-billion firm, Jensen Huang, told researchers at India’s top technology institutes during his week-long visit that the company envisions exporting AI products from its Indian arm.
