New Delhi: Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) on Tuesday said R Mukundan, chief executive of Tata Chemicals, has assumed office as its president for 2026-27. He takes over from Rajiv Memani. With over three decades of experience at the Tata Group, Mukundan has held various responsibilities across the chemical, automotive and hospitality segments. He was the industry body's president-designate for 2025-26.

Suchitra K Ella, managing director of Bharat Biotech International, took over as the CII president-designate for 2026-27.

Similarly, Shashwat Goenka, vice-chairman at RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group, takes charge as the CII's vice-president for 2026-27. Goenka recently served as the chairman of the industry body's eastern regional council.
