Taj Group celebrates Jamsetji Tata's 175th birth anniversary
MUMBAI: An art exhibition opened here today as part of celebrations of visionary industrialist Jamsetji Tata's 175th birth anniversary.

The Taj Group of Hotels, part of the diversified conglomerate founded by the legendary industrialist, has organised the exhibition which was inaugurated by former Chairman of Tata Group, Ratan Tata.

The exhibition in South Mumbai showcases 36 works of art of one of Taj's oldest employees, Newton Thomas D'Souza.

D'Souza, currently Manager (Food & Beverage Services) at The Taj Mahal Palace here, will donate 50 per cent of proceeds from sale of artworks to support underprivileged cancer patients at the Tata Medical Centre in Kolkata.

Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces is one of Asia's largest hospitality players. It operates 106 hotels in 63 locations across India and an additional 17 international properties in the Maldives, Malaysia, Australia, UK, USA, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Africa and West Asia.
