Subba Rao as CEO of US unit of Tanla
Tanla Solutions on Tuesday said it has appointed former chief operating officer of Bharti Airtel NV Subba Rao as the CEO and president of its US-based subsidiary, Tanla Mobile Inc.

MUMBAI: Tanla Solutions on Tuesday said it has appointed former chief operating officer of Bharti Airtel NV Subba Rao as the CEO and president of its US-based subsidiary, Tanla Mobile Inc. “Subba Rao’s appointment comes at a critical stage of the company’s global expansion plans and involves starting operations in the US, which has more than 250 million high spending mobile subscribers with average revenues per user of more than $600 per annum,” Tanla Solutions chairman and MD Uday Reddy said. Mr Rao, will lead Tanla Mobile’s next phase of global expansion into new markets including North America, South East Asia and the Middle East, the telecom solutions provider said in a communiqué to the BSE. As a head of Tanla Mobile’s US-based step down subsidiary, he would manage the mobile applications, m-commerce and interactive services and would head the business and operations for Tanla Mobile in North America and South America.
