Standard Chartered appoints Jaspal Bindra as new Asia head

Standard Chartered Bank on Thursday announced appointment of Jaspal Bindra as its new Asia Head.

MUMBAI: Standard Chartered Bank on Thursday announced appointment of Jaspal Bindra as its new Asia Head.

Currently Regional CEO for south and south-east Asia, Bindra will take responsibility for growth and governance of the bank across Asia region, excluding South Korea.

Bindra will oversee several of Standard Chartered's key markets like China, Hong Kong, India, Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia, among others, a release said.

In August, Bindra was appointed Director of Standard Chartered Bank, the main operating subsidiary of the group and is a key member of Standard Chartered group's senior management team.
