NEW DELHI: Internet firm Spectra is investing Rs 200 crore in making its fibre optic-based network deeper and resilient in its eight operational cities by March 2019, and has launched a new broadband plan that cuts data cost to as low as Rs 6 per GB.

“We plan to invest Rs 200 crore till 2018-19 end and will continue to invest more into our network to go deeper into cities and as many households as we can,” Spectra chief executive Udit Mehrotra told ET. Gurugram-based company, formerly known as Spectranet, has already earmarked Rs 100 crore for this fiscal, and aims to enroll at least 2.5-3 million of the 10 million potential subscribers’ in Delhi-NCR, Chennai, Bangaluru, Mumbai, Chennai and Pune.
