Indian auto component manufacturer Sona BLW Precision Forgings Ltd (Sona Comstar) has entered into a strategic partnership with Germany-based NEURA Robotics GmbH to jointly develop and industrialise advanced robotics and humanoid technologies, in a move that positions the company at the intersection of mobility and intelligent automation.

In a press release on Friday, Sona Comstar informed the exchanges that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with NEURA Robotics, marking the start of a collaboration aimed at leveraging both firms’ respective strengths—Sona Comstar’s precision engineering and manufacturing capabilities, and NEURA’s expertise in cognitive robotics.

“By combining Sona Comstar's engineering and manufacturing expertise with NEURA's pioneering cognitive robotics technologies, we are well-positioned to deliver world-class solutions for the global market,” said Vivek Vikram Singh, Managing Director and Group CEO of Sona Comstar.

The partnership shows Sona Comstar’s growing ambitions beyond its traditional automotive portfolio, as it seeks to tap into the next wave of industrial transformation led by robotics and artificial intelligence.

The company said the world is entering a “new era of intelligent automation,” with robots and humanoids set to transform manufacturing and logistics industries worldwide.

Founded in 2019, NEURA Robotics has emerged as one of Europe’s most promising robotics startups, known for integrating perception, cognition, and actuation into a single platform—an approach it calls “cognitive robotics.” The firm aims to bridge innovation gaps that have limited the adaptability and intelligence of traditional industrial robots.

Together, we will set new standards for innovation and scalability in one of the world's most dynamic markets.”
