SIAM appoints Ravi Kant as President

Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) on Wednesday elected Tata Motors' Managing Director Ravi Kant as its new President.

NEW DELHI: Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) on Wednesday elected Tata Motors' Managing Director Ravi Kant as its new President.

Kant, who held the position of Vice President, SIAM for two years, replaces Bajaj Auto Vice Chairman Madhur Bajaj.

He was elected as the President at SIAM's annual convention held here.

Mahindra and Mahindra President (Automotive) Pawan Goenka has been appointed as the Vice President of the apex automotive body, while Eicher Group Chairman S Sandilya will continue as the treasurer for another term.
