Shree Renuka acquires ethanol plant for Rs 6 cr

Sugar maker Shree Renuka Sugars says it has acquired an ethanol plant for Rs 6 crore from Dhanuka Cold Storage Pvt Ltd.

MUMBAI: Sugar maker Shree Renuka Sugars on Friday said it has acquired an ethanol plant for Rs 6 crore from Dhanuka Cold Storage Pvt Ltd.

The plant - Dhanuka Petro-Chem - has an installed capacity for manufacturing 100 kilolitre per day of ethanol and is strategically located near Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT) , The sugar maker informed the Bombay Stock exchange (BSE).

It plans to increase the ethanol capacity of this unit from 100 klpd to 250 klpd in near future.

The company has also set up a wholly-owned subsidiary, Shree Renuka Bio-fuels Holdings FZE, in Sharjah International Free Zone (SAIF Zone) for its overseas investments.

Shares in the company were last trading 0.38 per cent up at Rs 464.25 on the BSE.
