Shobhana Bhartia elected chairperson of ABC
Rajya Sabha MP, vice-chairperson and editorial director of HT Media, Shobhana Bhartia, has been elected chairperson of the Audit Bureau of Circulations (ABC) for ’06-07.

MUMBAI: Rajya Sabha MP, vice-chairperson and editorial director of HT Media, Shobhana Bhartia, has been elected chairperson of the Audit Bureau of Circulations (ABC) for ’06-07.
Ms Bhartia has been a member of the Council of Management of Audit Bureau of Circulations since 1999 and was the deputy chairperson for ’05-06. She is actively involved with various industry bodies, both in India and abroad.
“Ms Bhartia brings with her rich experience and expertise of over two and half decades in print media and Journalism,” ABC said in a statement in Mumbai.
Anil Kapoor, MD and CEO of FCB Ulka Advertising, has been elected as the deputy chairman for ’06-07.
Members of ABC’s Council of Management, who represent publishers, are Ms Bhartia, CH Kiron of Eenadu, Ravi Dhariwal of Navbharat Times, Vijay Darda of Lokmat, T Venkattram Reddy of Deccan Chronicle, Shailesh Gupta of Dainik Jagran, Amitabha Datta of Telegraph and Manoj Kumar Sonthalia of New Indian Express.
