The vice chairman of Kolkata-based RPSG Group Shashwat Goenka is joining the 2024 Class of Young Global Leaders of the World Economic Forum. RPSG Group owns power utility CESC and Spencer's Retail amongst other businesses.

Other class members from India Inc for this year include FSN E-Commerce Ventures (NYKAA) CEO Adwaita Nayar, Jubilant Group director Arjun Bhartia and Vedanta Limited non-executive director Priya Agarwal Hebbar. There are Indian members in other fields such as social entrepreneur and acting. The class of 2024 includes a group of nearly 90 changemakers across nations.

Goenka said he will be collaborating with some of the most forward-thinking individuals and exceptional minds worldwide, to build a brighter and more sustainable future for the generations to come.
