Samsung India said the rejig is done to generate more synergies amongst its various businesses and deliver an enriching and meaningful experience for consumers, as the company further expands its footprint in India.
Samsung India on Wednesday announced an organizational restructuring which involves rejig of roles and new appointments.

The country’s largest consumer electronics company by revenue has appointed CH Choi as the new division leader for the consumer electronics business, while Jinsock Lee will be the division leader for the network business. Jongbum Park will continue to be the division leader for the mobile phone business, Samsung India said in a release.

In a significant restructuring, Mohandeep Singh will be the new head of sales, marketing and operations for the consumer electronics business. He was earlier handling the mobile phone business as its chief.


Raju Pullan will be the new head for sales and retail for the mobile phone business, swapping roles with Singh. Aditya Babbar will lead product marketing for the mobile phone business.

Sources said Samsung India veteran Asim Warsi is likely to put in his papers soon, but will continue to be associated as an advisor.

Samsung said in the statement that Warsi will be pursuing a different professional path and in that, he will continue to be engaged with Samsung India.

Warsi used to head ecommerce business across products for Samsung. The business is now rechristened as direct to consumer and will be headed by Sumit Walia who will also lead the corporate marketing team.

Samsung India said the rejig is done to generate more synergies amongst its various businesses and deliver an enriching and meaningful experience for consumers, as the company further expands its footprint in India.

Dipesh Shah, who is the managing director of Samsung R&D Institute Bangalore, will also head a newly created India customer Elexperience and business strategy team to create multiple device experience for Indian consumers.

The enterprise business team will be headed by Akash Saxenaa. He was earlier heading mobile phone B2B sales.
