The centre that will come up on four-acres of land at the university will help guide Indian students and their parents in the UK and will also hold Indian festivals and showcase Indian food and culture. "It would be a fantastic place for a gathering of Indians," Subrata Roy, chairman of Sahara India had told ET recently.

Roy, who met the Prime Minister of UK, David Cameron yesterday discussed the India Centre at length as this would be the first such venture between a corporate and a university anywhere in the world.
