Rourkela Steel Plant launches new initiative 'Abha' for women employees

ROURKELA: 'Abha', a new initiative has been launched by Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) to enhance the quality of the professional life of women employees.

The basic objective of the initiative is to address various issues pertaining to the women employees of the organisation, RSP sources said today.

The forum was launched by Dipankar Basu, ED (P&A) in a programme organised on May 28, the sources said.

RSP already has a Complaints committee for redressal of complaints of sexual harassment. The initiative 'Abha' will have a much broader spectrum of operation covering various other issues.

According to Basu, 'Abha' is the outcome of RSP's thrust on providing an even better working environment to the women employees by taking care of their requirements pertaining to health, safety, security, career and various other aspects.
