Roongta appointed SAIL chairman

MUMBAI: State-owned Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL) on Friday said S K Roongta has been appointed as the Chairman of the company following a Government of India order.
Pursuant to the order of the government, Roongta, Director (commercial) of the company, has assumed charge as Chairman with effect from August 17, SAIL informed the Bombay Stock Exchange.
Shares of the company were trading at Rs 75.80, down 0.59 per cent on the BSE on Friday.
