'Reliance will leave no stone unturned to accelerate West Bengal's growth': Mukesh Ambani in Kolkata
Reliance Jio is set to take the power of 5G to every nook and corner of West Bengal even as the telco is on track to conclude the world’s fastest 5G rollout in India by end-December, Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani said Tuesday.

He was speaking at the Bengal Global Business Summit (BGBS) in Kolkata.

“Jio is about to complete the world’s fastest 5G rollout in India before the end of this year, that is 2023, and we have covered most parts of Bengal….we are taking the revolutionary power of 5G to every nook and corner of the state, particularly to enrich and transform rural Bengal,” Ambani said.

The RIL chairman added that with the rapid rollout of JioFiber (wired broadband) and Jio AirFiber services (the company’s 5G-based fixed wireless access service), every home in West Bengal would be converted into smart homes very soon.

“With this, Bengal will be able to use artificial intelligence (AI), cloud computing and other disruptive technologies to modernise every sector of its economy,” Ambani said..

Such a scenario, he said, would unleash new employment and entrepreneurial opportunities to millions in West Bengal.
