RIL gets 'Best Project of the Year Award - 2009'

RIL was awarded the 'Best Project of the Year Award 2009' by PMI, for successfully implementing high technology in KG D6 Deepwater (D1/D3) Gas Field Development Project in Krishna-Godavari basin.

HYDERABAD: The Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) was awarded the 'Best Project of the Year Award 2009' by the Project Management Institute (PMI), for successfully implementing high technology in KG D6 Deepwater (D1/D3) Gas Field Development Project in Krishna-Godavari basin.

According to PMI, the multibillion dollar mega investment project by RIL was executed despite constraints like tight market conditions, scarcity of rigs, installation vessels and skilled manpower in addition to complex logistics.

Raj Kalady, Managing Director, PMI India, said here today that the awards programme would annually recognize individuals, groups and organizations for having effectively applied project management principles and techniques.

Best Project of the Year Award - 2009 Runner-up was given to the National Stock Exchange of India Limited (NSE) for its Nationwide Network (N cubed - N3) project. Similarly Jury Award for the Contribution to Community - 2009 was given to the Indo-German Watershed Development Programme (IGWDP), Rajasthan Regional Office, NABARD.
