Representation of women in Nifty50 companies; what Gender Gap report says

What is the representation of women in Nifty50 companies, which are among the largest listed corporations in the country? The Close the Gender Gap report by the Udaiti Foundation, a Delhi-based non-profit, looks at women in the workforce, key management positions and in board rooms. It also looks at gender distribution across sectors and the gender pay gap, which is a glaring 44% in key management positions. The data, Udaiti says, has been collated from annual reports and business responsibility and sustainability reports of over 2,200 NSE-listed companies across 25 industries for four years, from 2020-21 to 2023-24.
