Religare Enterprises inducts former IB head in the Board

MUMBAI: Religare Enterprises Limited (REL) on Monday said it has appointed former Intelligence Bureau (IB) additional director Malay Kumar Sinha as Non-Executive Independent Director on the Board.

Sinha as an Indian Police Service officer has served in various capacities in the Uttar Pradesh Police, Intelligence Bureau and the Ministry of Home Affairs. His other position include Joint Secretary in the Ministry of External Affairs and Secretary—Security, Cabinet Secretariat Rashtrapati Bhawan.

"Sinha brings an excellent and unparalleled combination of deep insight and rigour in government affairs and policy discipline to the Board of Religare. The Board is being continually strengthened with renowned individuals having varied expertise, and looks forward to benefit from Sinha’s talent and experience" Religare wrote in a statement to the exchanges.
