Reliance Infra merges Reliance Projects Finance with itself

Anil Ambani-led Reliance Infrastructure said it has merged its wholly-owned subsidiary Reliance Projects Finance with itself, effective from June 30.

MUMBAI: Anil Ambani-led Reliance Infrastructure today said it has merged its wholly-owned subsidiary Reliance Projects Finance with itself, effective from June 30.

Reliance Infra had filed the order of the Bombay High Court with the Registrar of Companies, Mumbai.

Post approval of the registrar the scheme has become effective on June 30, Reliance Infra said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

Earlier on June 20, the Bombay High Court had approved the scheme of amalgamation between Reliance Projects Finance, Reliance Infrastructure and their respective shareholders and creditors.

As Reliance Projects Finance is a subsidiary of Reliance Infra, no new shares are required to be issued to the shareholders of the former, the filing added.

Shares of Reliance Infra closed at Rs 691.20, down 11.93 pc on the BSE.
