Reliance Infra bags Golden Peacock Innovation Management Award

MUMBAI: Reliance Infrastructure���s transmission business division (Mumbai) has bagged the prestigious Golden Peacock Innovation Management Award for year 2008. Institute of Directors (IOD), an organization engaged in encouraging implementation of the best business practices in the Indian Industry, has conferred on the prestigious award to the Company���s Transmission arm.

Every year, the IOD confers on this prestigious Golden Peacock Award for the best practices followed by the Indian companies from various industrial sectors in the field of Corporate Governance, National Training, Innovations Management, Environment Management, Eco-Innovations Management as well as Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and their performances in these fields.

The selection process for the prestigious award is carried through the nominations and rigorous assessments by the panel of juries consisting of eminent personalities from various fields under the Chairmanship of Justice P N Bhagawati, retired Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of India & Member, UN Human Rights Commission.

This is the first ever time that the transmission arm of any power utility in India has been awarded the prestigious Golden Peacock Award.
