Registered firms growing at tremendous pace
The registered companies in India were growing at a good pace and touched 10 lakh during this year as against eight lakh in the last year.

Of the 10 lakh companies, 10 per cent are public listed companies and out of which 10 per cent, nearly 10,000 to 15,000 are listed ones, M Manuneethi Cholan, Registrar of Companies, Coimbatore, told reporters, on the sidelines of a conference on 'The Companies Bill 2013,' here.
As far as Coimbatore region is concerned, there are 11,000 working companies, with a total number of 21,000 and the year on year growth in the region was about 10 to 12 per cent, he said.
Asked about MSMEs in the region, the official said though they were facing various problems, including severe power cut, they managed to survive and were now doing well.
