RDB Industries to re-organise biz activities

MUMBAI: The Kolkata-based RDB Industries Ltd on Tuesday said it will restructure its business activities by way of de-merger or other measures.
The board of directors at its meeting on Monday took an in-principal decision to re-align the business activities of the company and has constituted a committee for this purpose, RDB Industries informed the Bombay Stock Exchange.
The constituted committee would reconstruct the business of the company by way of de-merger or otherwise and to decide upon modalities of de-merger, it added.
The committee would also carry out valuation of its two business segments -- cigarette manufacturing and real estate.
In order to carry out the reconstruction of its business, the committee would appoint agencies or consultants, it added.
Shares of the company were trading at Rs 146.50, up 0.76 per cent at the BSE.
