Mr Tata who is seldom onboard twitter despite having 6.13 mn followers, has so far tweeted 119 times, the latest being on Saturday evening following restoration of his account.

AHMEDABAD: Chairman emeritus of Tata Sons Ratan Tata on Saturday got his hacked Twitter account restored.

An otherwise reclusive twitterati, Mr Tata tweeted on Saturday evening: “Shocked my a/c was hacked yesterday & spurious tweet sent with malicious intent. Tweet deleted, a/c restored. C link.”

The post mentioned a link that said: “Shocked that my Twitter account was hacked yesterday and a spurious malicious tweet was wrongly attributed to me. This spurious tweet has now been deleted any my Twitter account restored. I regret the inconvenience that this malicious and wrongful action may have caused.”

On Friday, the said tweet from Mr Tata’s account marking Delhi CM @ArvindKejriwal had a tweet by a parody account @RealHistotryPic that had RIL chairman Mukesh Ambani and PM Narendra Modi in a same frame. The caption read: Owner of Network 18 welcoming his employee to address people how (sic) cronies are going to halt inflation.

Tweeples have since then, retweeted him, some even urging him to register a formal compliant.
