Rajeev Sethi named CCO of Airtel Africa

NEW DELHI: Bharti Airtel has appointed Rajeev Sethi as the chief commercial officer (CCO) for its Africa operations. In his new role, Sethi will be responsible for formulation and implementation of customercentric commercial strategies across the 15 African countries where Airtel operates, the telecom operator said in a statement on Wednesday.

He will report to Airtel Africa CEO Raghunath Mandava. Till recently, Sethi was the CEO of Grameenphone, Bangladesh’s leading telecom operator.

Sethi’s key focus will be on consumer and enterprise businesses covering products and pricing, distribution, brand and customer experience.

“With his vast experience across arange of developing markets, Rajeev will contribute immensely in accelerating our growth journey,” Mandava said. Before joining Grameenphone, Sethi was chief marketing officer of Telenor India.
