R V Kanoria takes over as Sr Vice President of FICCI
R V Kanoria, CMD, Kanoria Chemicals and Industries, has taken over as senior vice president of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI).
Further, Naina Lal Kidwai, group general manager and the country head of HSBC, has been elected as vice president of the industry association, an official statement said.
Kanoria, who has done MBA from IMD, Switzerland and Advanced Management Programme from the US, has over 3 decades of experience in the chemicals, textiles and jute industries.
He is the Chairperson of the Commission on International Trade and Investment Policy of the International Chamber of Commerce, Paris. Also, he is a former chairman of the Indian Jute Mills' Association and Confederation of Indian Textile Industry.
Kidwai, who has done her MBA from Harvard Business School, has been recognised in India and abroad with several awards and won global listings as "Top women in business" in the Fortune and "15 Global Influentials in 2002" in the Financial Times.
HSBC employs 35,000 people in areas such as banking services, insurance, asset management, HSBC Securities and Capital Markets.
