PUG Securities appoints Prasad Dahapute as Head of Institutional Research
Prasad is a 2002 batch MBA from SIBM, Pune and a Mechanical Engg graduate from Govt college of Engg, Jalgaon in 2000.
Prasad comes to PUG Securities from Standard Chartered Capital Markets where he was Co-head of equity research and was responsible for managing India equity research team independently. His team was ranked for understanding of energy sector by Asiamoney in 2009.
Prior to SCCaps, Prasad has worked with HSBC as VP equity research and Antique Stock broking as Sr VP. He had been the key figure in vetting power projects of USD4bn at Power Finance Corporation, New Delhi and was advisor to various electric utilities and regulators in India.
Prasad was also rated among top 30 analysts in India by Asiamoney for 2007, 08 and 09 (3 years in a row). He is particularly known for strength in capital goods and utilities analyst.
